In contrast to the usual group-style surf lesson offered on many of Newquay's beaches, this Private Surfing Lesson is the ideal experience for those looking to develop their skills quickly, and learn to surf with confidence. Upon arrival at the International Surfing Centre, you'll meet with your instructor and change into your wetsuits. Once you have both been kitted out with an appropriate surfboard, you'll take a short walk to the water's edge, where you'll learn the basics of surfing from the safety of dry land. When you've got the hang of the paddling and "popping up" techniques, the fun can really begin. You'll wade out into the water, and with the help of your instructor, will begin attempting to catch those all important waves. The instructors know that only practise makes perfect, so if at first you don't succeed...pick yourself up and try again! Once your 2 hours of tuition has drawn to a close, you'll probably be hungry, so feel free to make use of the centre's food and drink facilities. If you're up to it, you can then head back into the water to continue practising, on your own for the rest of the day.
