Cooking Experience Days: Italian cuisine is all about quality ingredients, cooked simply and served with love. During this hands-on course, in Notting Hill, you’ll embrace this philosophy as you learn to make a variety of authentic dishes – from market to table. Your hosts for the day will be Claire and Charlotte, the daughters of the school’s founder. They’ve grown up around food, and you’ll benefit from their expertise and enthusiasm throughout the course, which begins with a shopping trip to Portobello Market. Here, you’ll seek out the best seasonal ingredients and take inspiration for the cooking ahead. You’ll return to the kitchen laden with fresh produce and herbs, thankful for a glass of prosecco, and ready to begin. Over a relaxed afternoon, Claire and Charlotte will guide you through the preparation of several delicious dishes. The menu varies from day to day, but will usually include five to six antipasti, a pasta or risotto dish, and a tiramisu for dessert. As conversation flows and wonderful smells begin to fill the room, you can look forward to a true Italian feast, with wines to complement.
