Land Boarding Experience Days: Land Boarding is an exciting mix of Mountain Boarding and Kite Surfing seeing the pro's reaching speeds of up to 50mph. With no previous experience required, this 4 hour introductory lesson is perfect for beginners. This fantastic lesson takes place in the picturesque area of Camber beach, but this versatile sport can be performed on grass as well. Your expert instructor is on hand throughout to offer guidance and encouragement to make sure you get the most out of your lesson.Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your Land Boarding Lesson will begin with a safety brief and introduction to the equipment / instructor, before getting and getting some 'hands-on' practice, manning the board yourself after some serious theory has been discussed in an attempt to harness the wind's power! This kite landboard course takes you right from the beginning, starting with a short theory session in the centre's classroom, which will cover wind and weather, site assessment, equipment, safety, the wind window and riding directions. Then, once briefed you'll be out onto the beach, learning the following: - Power kite set up and tuning - Kite flying including safety - Steering and kite control within the wind window - Kite power control - Introduction to more powerful kites for smooth pull on the landboard. Once the kite control is learnt, it's onto the landboard! - Introducing the board and kite together - Controlled stop - Producing continuous power from the kite to keep the board speeding along the beach! As you start to develop your skills and are now riding up and down the beach confidently we will then introduce edging the landboard, travelling back upwind, turning and even a slalom course! There are rules of the road to allow riders to pass each other safely without becoming tangled up which we briefly cover.
