Bird Of Prey Experience Days: This fantastic full day experience gives you the opportunity to be a falconer for a day, getting up close and hands-on with a number of beautiful birds of prey. This falconry experience begins with a tour of the Millets Farm Falconry Centre in Oxford. You'll get a full introduction to the birds you'll be working with and to falconry in general, and you'll learn about the different techniques there are for handling the birds safely. During this full day of falconry, you'll get the chance to meet owls, buzzards, hawks, falcons and even eagles, and you knowledgeable falconer instructors will give you plenty of fascinating information about how the birds are trained, groomed, fed and looked after. There will be plenty of opportunity to fly the birds, so you can fully appreciate their awesome power and precision, and you will of course have the opportunity to have them land on your wrist - carefully protected with a talon-proof leather glove, of course! The day begins at 9am and ends at 3pm, and during the full day you are guaranteed to get a thorough introduction to the life of a falconer.
