Glass Blowing Experience Days: Enjoy this fantastic 1 day course in the art of Glass Blowing. With just the two students on the day the course can be tailored to your skills, making an extremely personal and fascinating day. You'll be using state-of-the-art equipment under the instruction of a professional glass maker ensuring you progress quickly and produce your own pieces of beautiful glass work, this session is tailored to you, so you'll develop and progress your glass making skills and techniques at a pace that entirely suits you. Your glass making experience will begin at 10.30am with a welcome to the studio by your professional glass making instructor. After a short safety brief and introduction to the equipment you'll be using, you'll begin by learning to gather glass from the furnace, shaping and applying colour. After a short break for lunch, you'll start to put the skills you learnt in the morning session into practice as you make a piece (or more!) to take home such as a paper weight. You'll also try your hand at the art of glass blowing and create a colourful bowl or vase that you can keep as a memento of your day. Please note: Your pieces will not be available to take home on the day as it will need to fired in the kiln for hardening.
