Photography Experience Days: Enjoy a full day digital photography workshop in the Peak District, and learn some skills and techniques that will help you to get your camera off that Auto setting and start taking some really striking photos! The photography workshop is taught by a professional photographer with years of experience, who knows just how to help you make the jump from simply 'point and shoot' photography to more carefully considered, aesthetically pleasing and technically interesting photographs. Your full day photograhy workshop will begin with an introduction and briefing of the day's itinerary. The firs thing you will discuss is your digital SLR camera - it's settings and functions, and how to adjust them. You will then have a lesson on aperture, shutter speed and ISO, discussing the effects of these on a photograph. You will learn how to overcome difficult light situations to capture a tricky shot, as well as how to use the built-in flash to best effect. You will finally move on to talk about the aesthetics of a great photo; what the rules are, and when or why you could break them. You will learn about composition and framing to create interesting and beautiful shots, before heading off into the charming Peak District town of Bakewell to put theory into practice! Take photos of the gorgeous countryside and pretty town, using all the new tips and tricks you learned during the first part of the photography lesson. You can have your photos appraised at the end of the day if you wish, but for those of you who feel a little self-conscious, there is no obligation! You will receive a comprehensive booklet to take with you that explains everything you learned during the day, so even if you forget something, you can easily go back and brush up.
