Sailing Experience Days: The RYA Start yachting course in Brighton is perfect for beginners who want a hands-on introduction to every aspect of sailing. While out on the beautiful waters off the Brighton & Hove coast you'll be under the watchful eye of an expert instructor as you discover the thrill and tranquillity of sailing. By the end of your action packed weekend, you will have also gained the RYA 'Start Yachting' certificate that counts towards the 'competent crew' certificate.The course will start after a chat with your skipper, crew mates and a tour of the vessel for the weekend. The crew will teach you about steering a yacht, rope work, sail handling and make you aware of the various safety procedures and hand signals used on board. You'll be expected to 'muck in' over the weekend and you may get a chance to dazzle your crew mates with your cooking skills! The Beginners Yachting Weekend in Brighton makes a wonderfully unique experience gift for budding sailors, or anyone wanting to try something new and exciting.
